Shane Birley
Technology

Shane Birley is a Vancouver-based web developer, writer, blogger, and technology consultant with nearly 20 years of experience in building websites. As a partner in Left Right Minds Initiatives, Shane is now working to develop websites using content management systems where his clients can edit and update their own web content.

To help others understand more about the web, Shane gives workshops about technology, web communications and social media. He did extensive research for the published book BitTorrent for Dummies written by local authors Susannah Gardner and Kris Krug, and has co-written the last three editions of Blogging for Dummies.

He has a background in improvisational theatre and a B.A. in English – these qualifications enable him to translate difficult computing concepts into easy plain language. Shane is a member-at-large for the board of The Karen L. Colussi Foundation – an organization which supports and encourages Montessori programs in Victoria, BC. He is also a member of the board for the Northern Voice Society an annual blogging conference.

Victor Terzis specializes in the creation of logos and corporate identity packages, website design, and in some cases, Flash animation for clients at Left Right Minds.

Prior to being added on to the LRM roster, Victor had worked as a freelancer for a number of years. He has won awards for his own artistic talents very early on and has now focused on a career as a graphic/web designer. With his experience, professionalism to the craft, quirkines and a little bit of charm, Victor gets the job done right and on time.

His training began at the Vancouver Film School as a Classical and 3D animator and is also an Allumnist of Vancouver College where he was the top student in the Graphic Design program.

Victor's other interests include soccer, hockey, beating people in pool, talking to girls, acting out scenes in movies and referencing them during the day for no apparent reason.

At the moment he is continuing to expand his abilites by understanding the fundamentals of business with Allyson McGrane and learning to use Drupal and other backend programming languages as an apprentice to Shane Birley.

Felipe Mascarenhas
Arts Administrator Assistant

Living in Vancouver since Fall 2009, Felipe is originally from the city of Salvador in Brazil, where he first came in contact with the arts business, producing and promoting independent concerts and festivals.

Now a graduate from the Arts and Entertainment Management Program at Capilano University, Felipe is the newest member of the Left Right Minds team, working with the various arts groups of the LRM roster.

He is also a board member and events coordinator for the Brazilian Community Association in Vancouver and has been involved with the Vancouver International Fringe Festival and the Vancouver International Jazz Festival.

Serendipity
Office Dog

Serendipity is a Vancouver-based pug, who spends much of her time working hard at being the cutest dog possible.  She is in a mild cuteness competition with her counter-part, Faith, and she makes up any perceived deficit by defending the office from every form of invasion.  She is quick to let all within ear-shot know when the latest invading troops are in the area and attempts to scare them off with her vocal talents.

Her input at meetings is often invaluable.

Faith
LICK-o-MATIC 9001

Faith hails from Vancouver Island and is the newest canine addition to Left Right Minds. She is learning fast how to climb all over the furniture (and sometimes all over the clients) and is able to look cute. Her skill set allows her to make even the grayest days blue and she is always at the ready with a needed cuddle for both clients and staff.

She is particularly fond of peanut butter.
